Plum cake with crumbles on the tray is really delicious

1 Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2 Prepare dough: Melt the butter or margarine in a large bowl. Add the sugar, eggs, vanilla sugar, and baking powder and mix well. Gradually add the flour until a smooth dough forms.
3 Prepare plums: Wash, pit, and halve the plums. Spread the prepared plums evenly over the dough.
4 Prepare crumble: In a separate bowl, combine the flour, sugar, vanilla sugar, and cinnamon or lemon zest. Add the cold butter in small pieces and mix everything together with your hands or a mixer until crumbly.
5 Bake the cake: Spread the crumble evenly over the plums and bake in the preheated oven for about 35–40 minutes, until the crumble is golden brown.
6 Let it cool: Remove the cake from the oven after baking and let it cool completely on the baking sheet.
