Assembling the Gratin
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F), convection setting.
Spread one-third of the béchamel sauce in the bottom of a gratin dish.
Wrap each endive in a slice of ham and arrange them in the dish.
Cover with the remaining béchamel sauce and sprinkle generously with grated cheese.
Baking and Serving
Bake for 20 minutes, or until the top is golden, bubbling, and lightly crisped.
Serve hot, ideally with a fresh green salad.
